Mild summers cool winters are fine. Medium size town. Not a hunter or fisherman, but I like the outdoors
Other than "cool" winters, there are a ton of places in Wisconsin that fit that bill. Buy a snowmobile though, and you will learn to love winter. It is beautiful there, and there are tons of amazing privately owned restaurants that the locals only know about, but will gladly share their locations. Tons of places to hike, trails to bike, bodies of water to kayak, sand dune beaches with water warm enough to swim in during summer, and always a breeze during hot days. Oh and did I mention year round fireworks?
Miss that place a ton.
