From the production point of view: Highly experienced and affordable staff available; relatively cheap, large, guaranteed venue space; predictable weather.

From the competitors’ POV: Plenty of space and big gyms off-strip (imagine bodybuilders trying to fit into Manhattan—even the NY Pro isn’t in New York); dry air and sun; lots of pools and clubs for after-parties.

From the fans’ POV: It’s a trip to Vegas. Who’s gonna waste precious vacation time traveling to St Louis, or wherever? Not me.

MMA/BOXING, You can gamble on the outcome plus various prop bets but their ain't no gambling when it comes to bodybuilding.

But I'm sure that the City Fathers are working on that.
