The UFC has booked a heavyweight title fight between champion Daniel Cormier and Derrick Lewis to headline its UFC 230 pay-per-view event on Nov. 3 in New York.

UFC president Dana White broke the news to ESPN on Tuesday, and Cormier confirmed directly to ESPN. The heavyweight fight will take place on the UFC's annual card at Madison Square Garden.

Pretty strange. I just heard DC on the MMA hour podcast and he said that his wrist is so messed up that he can’t even make a fist and he can’t wrestle. He’s had five surgeries on it.

That Stipe isn't even being considered is the real travesty. Lewis is a fat piece of vile shit. He and that Ngannou pussy should both have been kicked out of the UFC for that despicable performance that they put on.

That was the worst heavyweight fight I've ever seen in MMA and I've seen many since 96.

Lewis-Volkov was the worst display I've seen in a long time. Neither guy looked very skilled. They were sloppy with very little endurance and terrible coordination. Lewis was getting his ass kicked and then landed that huge punch because Volkov for whatever reason was just sitting there ready to be hit. When Volkov hurt Lewis he went in for the kill and started batting him around like a kitten doing zero damage because he didn't position his body to throw with any power. At one point Volkov appeared to almost trip over his own feet....probably due to fatigue. This fight was not worthy of PPV and Lewis has very little chance against fighters like Cormier or Jones. I think any of the top 10 light heavies could have easily beat either of these guys. This fight gets a double thumbs down from me.

Cormier will break his will by ground and pound or submission.

Cormier's standup is way too crisp. His wrestling/ground game is too much for Lewis.

Lewis has a chance by way of landing a big right hand, but if not (and most likely not), Cormier ends it whenever he wants.
