Indeed. Not as enjoyable as the Choke of '04, but still good.

Pats and Sox won that year.

Crazy comeback in 04.   :o

Houston up next. Don't follow much, how did Boston do against Houston this year?
(Just looked it up, looks like in 7 games this season, Astro's went 4-3).

I do put it on at night when I need to fall asleep, great snooze-fest that BB is.

Houston's not going to be easy.

Nice year 1 for Alex Cora though, I forgot he won WS with Houston. At least playoffs make it a bit interesting.
Too long of a season, too boring of a game, but iit does step up this time of year for those who love it. (I did as a kid).

Yaz, Rice, Eck, Fisk, Boomer, etc.

I remember watching that game at a bar in college. Everybody went nuts when A Rod slapped the ball out of the first baseman’s hand.

And then Varitek had to give him the Killer Kowalski claw...

(I ran into Walter (Killer) in a local Chinese place some years back w/ his wife (months before he died), great guy).

Killer, a rugged bastard in his day.

Astros are the team to beat... Red Sox and Yankees are not championship teams. It’s all about Houston

Well, they've won 3 WS since 2004, so yeah, I think they are.
But if you are talking about this year in particular, I do agree.

If they make it an interesting series, and some guys catch fire, they have a chance.
Astro's just seem a notch above at the moment. But we've seen the Sox do amazing things, so who knows...

Fight ended with Varitek grasping for Arod's nuts to save his life.

Wish he was able to get him up,and suplex him, that would have been bad-ass.

Tough move to do - I think Arod was 230 or something.   But that would've been awesome to see.

ARod seems to have reinvented himself as an announcer, analyst and JLO fucker.

Yeah he actually did.   But I have to think if he wasn't grabbed he would have been toast.   I'm surprised more shot like that don't get landed in these things.

I was on business travel MON - FRI (now) so I missed what was going on. I thought it would go to 7 games, Sox owned the Ass-Strokes.
Not even sure who they are playing in the WS, Ill go check now. Nice 1st year for Cora though, sort of like when Francona came on board. Or went on board.
