Went to an early show to avoid all the adolescents screaming and yelling and carrying on.

Looks awesome.I can’t do theatres though cause can’t handle people.Use to go to movies years ago cause they would start at 9:30-10 and no one would be there but they stopped doing that and now earliest shows are 1130.Also would never ever go at anytime on weekend.Either way enjoy the movie and report back.

The last thing I feel like seeing or hearing when I'm an hour into a movie is people going up and down the aisles because their drink ran out or the Walmart masses milling around the lobby area with that smell of stale popcorn. Yeah I'll stick to BlueRay at home.

I saw it last night. I'm old enough to have watched the original in a theatre in 1978 and there is no comparison.  Original was scary and tense whereas new one is not. In fact it was funny.  When the babysitter opens the cupboard door in the chubby black kid's bedroom it could have been scary but the wee fat humorous black dude shouting "oh shit" and running out the room had the theatre in hysterics. I was laughing for 5 minutes.  It was very similar to the Scary Movie series.

Funniest Halloween film was Halloween Resurrection. Awful throughout but hilarious at the same time. It finishes with Busta Rhymes beating the crap out of Michael Myers.

Going to see it next SAT AM, looking FWD... I also go on AM's (11 AM, etc).
Only 2 of us usually in the theater, specially when its a week old already.
You can bring in a couple of beers, etc w/ out people around you being pissed, nervous, whatever.

It's "ok". A lot of "ok" movies are breaking records lately. Says what the state of writing is when everything is a remake.

The idea that the Attorney General of the State gave the original mask to foreign bloggers to taunt this guy out in the prison yard is REALLY stretching it. I know that's part of the genre but that is deep BS.
