Fred Rick Friedman questioned on Facebook: “So, when a child does this and accidentally kills himself or an innocent bystander, will Sleeper 13 Productions and Ragina Sincic be brought up on charges as an accessory? This has got to be one of the dumbest PSA’s put out by anti-gunners ever. Way to combat criminal violence…turn innocent children into felons.”

Some people are truly stupid in their ways against having guns out there for safe people.

But encouraging kids to steal a gun, bring a gun to a classroom - this is not free speech.  This is what I call incitement to violence, and this type of person should be sued over it.

I just can imagine a kid actually seeing this, and doing this, then taking out the gun in a classroom, and shooting someone accidentally.

You're looking at it all wrong.  The PSA is actually "pro gun", for self defense.  Let me break it down for you.

Mom keeps a BB gun in her panty drawer.  Billy knows this, and doesn't feel adequately protected.  He takes the BB gun and gives it to his teacher.  The teacher gasps in shock.  She can't believe he's packing a BB gun, for self defense.  He tells the teacher, "I don't feel safe with this in the house."

Hopefully, the teacher will have a talk with mom, about caliber sizes, and encourage her to buy a real firearm.  Preferably a long gun.

Coach, how many firearms to you own?   ???

Hello I Am FALLSVIEW

So what are the teachers going to do with them?

Kids can't come to school with guns...or knives...or clubs...or any weapon.

Pretty dumb.

Leave it to Coach to assign this one persons views to an entire half of the population... A graduate of a film school makes a video and suddenly it represents everyone on the left. Coach is part of what is wrong with America these days.Unable  to think beyond stereotypes

Coach is awesome. He's the antidote to you. He's like the good twin and you're the evil one. Two graying old men with strong views that cancel each other out. It's beautiful.

Think about it, right after a shooting of any kind, what the first thing liberals do?

Are you saying the left isn't notoriously anti-gun?

I'm saying this persons personal view is not representative of the left. I haven't heard a single person I know advocate a kid bringing his parents gun to school and turning it in. That is beyond stupid.

All teachers should be armed. There's nothing that's gonna stop a bad guy quicker than knowing every classroom is armed to the teeth and the armed resource officers patrolling the hallways.

I agree. We can figure out what to do with the teachers who either don't want to carry one or suck at carrying one later. Let's get them armed.

Yeah, there's teachers with philosophical objections to firearms (but not to cops who storm the school to use them to stop a deranged shooter, same as celebrities hate guns but love armed bodyguards) but the solution to that is simply to add an assistant (there's always TAs who want jobs) to the room who is there during classes and IS willing to take a gun safety course and a conceal-carry permit (if needed). There's always a way if there's a will.

There's a school in Texas that has had a mandatory armed teachers policy for years now. It's a big school and a big soft target. Zero shootings. It works. Banning guns might work in Australia but this is the United States and we have not just the right to bear arms but to use them defensively. How many mass murders in school and colleges is it going to take before they understand the police are NOT security guards. They can come 3 minutes after a phonecall and not know where the shooter is or be in a position to help the dead or dying.

They said putting 2-3 full-time cops (which are more expensive than resource officers because of the training and collective agreement on salary they're subject to) is prohibitively expensive. Okay, that's a fair point. But training your instructors and administrators to carry and use firearms defensively, who after all are in the school as much as the students, that surely doesn't cost that much if it saves countless lives. Virginia Tech banned firearms, as did Sandy Hook and countless other schools. How did that work for them? How can it hurt to try something else?

I've spoken with tons of Marines that would love a job securing children.
