I know Ron (not trying to put that down) ... just not into men’s and woman’s bikini/fitness whatever it’s called ... hardcore bodybuilding fan here (love the “ direction “ the Mr Olympia is heading with Shawn Rhoden as Mr O) ..  just not a fan of the endless parade of “ men” in board shorts and girls (looking untrained) in bikinis being handed a Pro Card and clogging up the contests.. ..  enough is enough already

Lol I mean how do you judge a men’s physique show, they all look the same, and there’s sometimes 30+ competitors? Do you just take a guess at top 5 and then “here’s the rest” haha

I'm not. Too many damn pros nowadays. I know it's all a cash grab but I miss the days when you knew all the pros in all the categories. Best of the best.

From one pro men's bodybuilding division to a lot of various divisions, it did jump the quantity of how many pros there are.  In terms of various divisions like bikini and men's physique, these jumped the numbers in the amateur ranks in many contests, sometimes accounting for more than 75% of the total competitors.  Is that bad? No, it is different.  But with those numbers, a lot more pros are competing in these divisions, which are easier to compete over and over again than in pro bodybuilding.  

Do they reach the level of audience that pro bodybuilders do.  No.  But to each his own.  In the days of growing Instagram Stars, and making money from vlogs, videos, instragram pictures and endorsements, something is working right.

Is there a difference to me between an IFBB Pro Men's BODYBUILDER and other divisions.  Yes there is.     I am happy that we have a pro bikini division.  Double yes I am!!!

You do realize a schmoe is a man who pays money to wrestle or see woman who are more muscular, aka female bodybuilding.  What has that have to do with men's physique division or bikini competitors.   If you are implying that I enjoy bikini competitors, guilty as charged.  Although I don't think I have ever wrestled a bikini competitor or anyone for that matter.

Just curious Ron I know you support the idea of the men and womens bikini competitions, but is it a pleasureable as photographing the legendary mass monsters ( Ruhl, Coleman, Cutler, Gunter, Rami, Roelly)?

No, it is not.

The hype of the mass monsters (aka Rami, Coleman, Ruhl, Roelly) vs the hype of the symmetrical bodybuilders (Wheeler, Levrone, Ray) was and is much more interesting than men's physique for me.  Bikini though, I always enjoy taking pics.    Backstage and candids are my favorite, because it shows more of the emotions and fun pics, than just awesome stage pics.
