I hung at Stan Lee's house yesterday in Beverly Hills and talked shop with the two absolute gods of comics; Stan Lee and Roy Thomas. If you don't know, between them they both created Spider-man, Wolverine, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel and the Avengers. Basically the guys who have made Disney/Marvel BILLIONS and Marvel the biggest film franchise of all time.

This was the first time in over 30 years that Roy and Stan got together privately and talked comics and I was there with them for this historical moment (in awe).

My Stan Lee story:

When l was in HS l belonged to the comic book club.

We were able to get an appointment for a tour of the DC offices in NYC.
After the tour we said what the hell, let’s see if we can get into Marvel, which wasn’t too far away.

We got turned away because we didn’t have an appointment. On the way out, Stan Lee just happened to get in the elevator with us. We were elated of course! Stan was very cool. We bullshitted with him for a few minutes and he gave each of us his autograph. He was about the age l am now. An experience I’ll always remember!
