But I think he's probably fairly confident that this one is in the bank.

After seeing Bob's 4-days out pics, I really can't see him winning against Pavol.  But then I really didn't see him winning the 2000 USA Championships, and am still convinced that was a political decision.  Since then he's become even more politically connected--FOM (Friend of Manion, etc.)--so if the judges give him a Masters Pro win that will be a political gift from his buddies too.

Honestly, the best possible outcome - for the final blow to Bob's credibility - would be a controversial win over a harder and better shaped athlete.

If he does win, it better be convincingly.

I haven't seen any pictures of Pavol in prep for this contest, so it is speculative to say that Pavol looks better than Bob right now. However, I agree that if Pavol shows up in shape, he will beat Bob.

hardly anyone wins convincingly when everyone is in shape. at every show half of the people say someone else should have won. unless bob's the only guy on stage or the only one who dieted for the show you're probably going to say he didn't deserve and it's all politics, then accuse everyone who disagrees of asskissing.

Is he out of jail?  See this is what happens when you have a revolving door penal system.

This has to be photoshopped - the guy with Bob's head has a much bigger quad sweep than he does.
