Ace is nowhere near the best but more kids picked up a guitar because of him than a hell of a lot of other players. It really pisses great guitar players off, it's similar to guys who know every scale in the book that get all hot and bothered they can barely afford a bag of spaghetti while Cobain who could barely play made it.

Don't remember when or whom he said it to. I just remember him being quoted as saying Prince is/was the best.

There is no one "best" there are many (MANY) greats, and each person has their favorite.

Rory is one of my favorites and one of the greatest. Ace is very good, far from the greatest though...

Zappa, Vai, Hlubek, Satriani, Hendrix, Beck, etc... So many...
