When I started my channel, I wrote to ReviewBrah (Report Of The Week) inquiring about Youtube revenue.   This is someone who gets a million views a week and he told me that he was making about 2000 dollars a month from Youtube.   However he explained that his external activities...T-Shirts, sponsors, etc is where the real money is.


Even though the rules changed for the Youtube Advertiser Program, I had make $213.00 before I was removed

according to him it depends on what type of video it is, if it's educational you get higher paying ads than for example a gaming or prank channel

what i don't understand is why aren't people using ad block?  who wants to watch a youtube video with multiple ads?

CPM is about .25 now vs. 1-2.5 before adocalypse, which you can attribute to one dirty jew.  $250 at most.

Depends on the ads I believe. But it is less now. That is why youtubers are pushing product placement, sponsorship ads in the videos , amazon links, etc.

Views are meaningless if your video is demonetized(no ads). Also, these days you can't be monetized on YT unless you have a certain size viewership.

The adpocolypse all goes back to the Wall Street Journal hit piece article and it's all part of a corporate media need to take the "You" out of Youtube because corporate media giants don't want shoestring-budget individuals successfully competing against their billion dollar media empires. For every minute you spend on Palumbo, Goodrum, or whoever, that's a minute that you are not watching CNN, ABC, FOX, or whoever. Yes, even "conservative" Fox is very much against the "You" in Youtube.

Along with all that's mentioned by other people above my post, Youtube also takes the incentive out of creating videos by randomly demonetizing videos, then "allowing" you to contest the demonetization but never getting back to you(demonetized limbo). It's like dealing with a corrupt third world government. A lot of random and often selective enforcement of hazy rules as well as unaccountability for their company's actions.

There is an easy way to find that out. There is a youtube stats page that anyone can access. It's public info. Just put in the youtuber's channel name and it will give you a breakdown of their earnings. https://socialblade.com/youtube/
