Today, Hester has come of age, resurrected in the form of metoo warriors that are more than eager to bury the aristocrats. Guys don't realize that women are to men, what Lycans are to Vampires. They keep the secrets and weaknesses of men close to heart and can, at any point, drive that stake deep into their chests. They also control the world. Men are just too stupid to realize the truth.

Hey, OMR!
Hester and MeTooers are delusional. Sure, the strong will always prey upon the weak, but to expect that the strong will somehow reign in their natural inclinations to aggression is a fools wish. Hester is an idealist, which is wonderful in principle, but principles are always trumped by predispositions. The Metooers are just as antagonistic as their detestable foes, they are just as brutal, and are merely acting out their own self-interests by attempting to weaken the stronger because that is the way of the weak -- it makes total sense -- but it is just another form of aggression in the guise of "justice." Hester is a cultivated character (a part of the elite -- and thus a hypocrite with all of her sympathies to the exploited), one imagines that she has read her Schopenhauer, Nietzsche, and Freud (all contemporaries of her time -- I suspect that she adores her Marx!), but she probably stops reading these pessimistic realists when they confront her with the self-deceiving make-believe of her views.
However, "let a hundred flowers bloom," for the flowers are not friends and must compete for power and survival. Have at it!
Best wishes, OMR,
Kahn
