Elgen is anything but intense. He is hard hitting, and factual. Yet, with his monotone voice, dry as a desert humor, and lack of personality, to me it makes it seem like he doesn’t connect well with people on a personal level.

I'm sure he is, but he's a lawyer in real life, so it's not a huge deal. He's smart, only uploads a few times a month so you don't get burnt out, and has a decent side business connected to the channel.
