I've never had a flu vaccination and will never get one. I rarely get sick. Hand hygiene awareness (especially in public places) is very important. I keep alcohol wipes in my car.

I get one every year.

Nobody forces you to get one so don't get it if you don't want it.

Flu shots are around 50% effective but if you do get the flu it's not as severe if you had the shot.

Over 80,000 people in the US died of flu last season.

Where do you live that its not free? Do you not have insurance?

Flu shots arent 50% effective, every year the CDC makes an educated guess about which flu virus will be the most active during the season. If they pick the wrong strand the vaccine is 100% worthless.

I didn't have a copay for the flu shot. In fact the target where I live offers fees flu shots to the uninsured.

I thought you only paid if you don't have insurance and with Medicaid everyone should have insurance. Here in Hawaii they beg and bribe you to get a flu shot. They offer deals like $5 off coupons just to get a free flu shot. I've been getting vacinnated for the last 45 years and have never gotten the flu nor do I feel I am slowly being poisoned.

Yeah, what's up with that. My aunt has to pay for her insulin up front and then get reimbursed by her insurance company. Humulin R use to be around $35 a few years ago but now it's $145. Walmart is the only place that still sells it for the samp price it's been all along -- $25. They have their own brand which is just what they buy from Lilly under contract for a steal (everybody wants to have a contract with Walmart) and sell it for what they want.
