Remember Ducth most getbiggers can barely lift the toilet seat when they sit down to piss.

UNLESS someone asks, just do your thing .

You nor Dutch can do 400+lbs deads. Maybe together....unlikely though.
Liar!!!!Filt!!!!

I  was asked to help this  older guy doing some 400 lb dead lifts.
He told me to take a pic of him deadlifting .

I ignored him and took pics of this cute girl in yoga pants doing stiff legged deads.

I wonder if he ever got his pics posted? ;D
;D Howard you are funny again.

Give advice if you‘re qualified to do so. And no, 15 years of gym membership does not make u qualified.

What qualifies someone? Confused? A week internet personal trainer certificate?  The one I took covered anatomy and physiology at a 6th grade level. When I was in college it was a two semester 8 credit course with a lab. The week internet course test on the topic could have been passed with 5 minutes of study.  Personally I will listen to advice from a guy who has trained naturally for 30 to 40 years who is in shape over any 20 something with internet certificates. If someone is not in shape in their 20's and 30's they are lazy bastards with no work ethic. I also discount many times the advice of steroid users. Tell me what I have to do be in shape when you're clean for 6 months so I can see how their advice works for them. Most steroid users look like crap off the assist.

I competed against this one big idiot that got kicked out of a great gym.
He'd see some older female on the leg press and act like he was stretching by the machine.
Then, in the middle of her set ,  turn his back, squat down and FART In HER FACE  :o

Obviously the woman complained to the gym manager.
Since she wasn't alone in her complaint, he got  booted out.

...and we wonder why bodybuilding isn't a mainstream sport. ;)

Hahahhaha that was pretty fucking funny.

No, it's obnoxious to give advice in a gym.

No, you mind your own fucking business.   >:(

Unless they ask me, I usually ignore them.

But seriously: if these 18-20 yr old dudes got some REAL good advise (not from their "personal trainers" who are a joke, at leat over here in Holland.) they could be put on the right track gaining some mass.
I keep silent, but the point is that I made their mistakes too, way back when.
Aren't we obliged to do someting????

Says Dr Dutch

Yes, don't listen to the fucking idiots in this thread.

Depressing as shit, no wonder we're all into bodybuilding...

Only when asked or if the person looks genuinely perplexed by something (like how to adjust a machine, etc...). Otherwise nope.

Come to think of it, there have been a few times I've helped someone out who appeared not to know how to adjust or use a machine.

This selfish attitude is what landed most of us in the gym in the first place. The gym is like a purgatory for vanity.

"I'll just mind my own business, even if I see someone I could really help... unless they ask."

Imagine if someone had helped you when you were a kid. Maybe you wouldn't have fucked up so many times. Maybe you wouldn't feel so unaccomplished and weak. And, maybe, you wouldn't feel the need for a shiny muscle suit to drape over your inner worthlessness.

Interesting way to put this.

15 years of experience isn't enough, but correspondence course of two weeks makes anybody a fully qualified Personal Trainer?  ;D

Ok, let's do an experiment to test your idea?
Go ahead and make a video of you , offering to help people who didn't ask for it, at your gym.
I predict you'll get a warm reception, especially from attractive females in their 20's and similar age gym bros.
Might be a great idea to run up and spot the ladies from behind while doing squats.

Look fwd to a full report.

Hope this helps. ;)

between me and you there are two important differences: i look like i lift and im not 60.
