I’ve heard of some pros eating only 3k calories a day and being 290+. Apparently jay cutler only eats like 2500 calories a day now and still holds 240 lbs as retired and training way less. and then you have guys like Juan Morel who has to eat 10k-15k calories a day just to maintain his size.
There is no way they are eating only 3,000 calories a day and there is also no way Juan Morel is eating 10k-15k a day.

You see these guys on Instagram eating their stupid Megafit meals or xyz meal prep company and the meals have like 350 calories in them with 1 cup of rice, asparagus, and 8 oz of chicken. Either they are eating 5 megafit meals per meal or they are lying to promote the company or they actually only eat that much food
Back in the 1980's Vic Richards used to claim 10-15k a day as well and he was full of shit as well. He said he ate all chicken and rice. The amount of rice and chicken needed to get to that many calories would be impossible to consume on a daily basis.
Need to be a little more specific. If you're talking contest prep, I'm sure there are times when they're 3k. Morel is NOT eating 10-15k on a daily basis, guaranteed. Yeah, I saw the cheat day video too.
How many cals would you go down to when you were dieting down for a comp?
They lie about everything including their diets and exercise program.

Let me jump in here real quick ...back in early “90’s) Lynn Massachusetts gym owner (Freddy) paid Victor Richards a lot of money to come to his gym and train and give seminars... (did the same with Matarazzo and Demayo ) I spent some time with Victor (brought him to the nightclub I was working at and Revere Beach) One stipulation was Freddy have food for him every 2-3 hours ... it was chicken and rice in a white styrofoam container obviously from some resturant ... Victor would eat two of them every couple of hours (saw him eat 3 of them even) .. not saying he ate like this all the time (was costing Freddy a fortune) ... but for the weekend I got to hang with him he did ... the most important thing besides. Drugs was the food! If it wasn’t ready when he was ready to eat he got pissed ... he even ate it T the club ... I have never seen anyone that dedicated and eating that “ clean” before or so Since then.. gym was called “ Muscle Mania”
A) everyone liesB) no one knows how much food they "really need". everyone just finds "what works", a quantity which memory soon morphs into "what's necessary".
