Seems familiar...a little déjà vu
« on: December 19, 2018, 01:33:12 PM »
December 2018, President Trump has agreed to shut down his embattled personal charity and to give away its remaining money amid allegations that he used the foundation for his personal and political benefit, New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood announced Tuesday.

In 2011, the company (Trump University) became the subject of an inquiry by the New York Attorney General's office for illegal business practices that resulted in a lawsuit filed in 2013. Trump settled all three lawsuits in November 2016 for a total of $25 million after being elected to the presidency. After multiple lawsuits, Trump University is now defunct.

It was the highest penalty ever levied by the U.S. federal government against a casino. On August 3, 2016, it was announced that the Trump Taj Mahal would close after Labor Day, because of casino workers on strike. It was closed on October 10, 2016.

ATLANTIC CITY — The Trump Plaza Casino and Hotel is now closed, its windows clouded over by sea salt. Only a faint outline of the gold letters spelling out T-R-U-M-P remains visible on the exterior of what was once this city’s premier casino.

Not far away, the long-failing Trump Marina Hotel Casino was sold at a major loss five years ago and is now known as the Golden Nugget.

At the nearly deserted eastern end of the boardwalk, the Trump Taj Mahal, now under new ownership, is all that remains of the casino empire Donald J. Trump assembled here more than a quarter-century ago. Years of neglect show: The carpets are frayed and dust-coated chandeliers dangle above the few customers there to play the penny slot machines.

Don't forget about the Trump Foundation
It was shut down yesterday and from everything I've read it seems like there are actual criminal activity that may touch all immediate members of the Trump family (except for Barron and "Melanie")

Trump is also neck deep in money laundering with Russia and likely other illegal dealing as well (No Collusion, Witch Hunt)

We didn't elect him for this ethics business dealings.. hell we knew what he was well before November. As long as he keeps talking about building that wall and saying mean things about democrats, I couldn't care less if he robs banks on the side.

Oh right, The Wall.  ::)

President Trump on Tuesday December 19th, abandoned months of strident demands for Congress to give him $5 billion for his border wall, bowing to political reality as Republicans scrambled to avoid shutting down large portions of the government this weekend.

So far, there has been zero progress on building the boarder wall Trump campaigned on. Not one single foot of a new solid concrete boarder wall has been built.

The omnibus bill funds some new fencing, though far less than Trump had hoped it would. The new barriers are also not the kind of solid, concrete wall Trump once described during the campaign. Nor is it anything like any of the prototypes Trump visited in mid-March.

What has been accomplished is the mending of some dilapidated fencing between the boarders. But hey, never give up. He might just pull it off in the next couple of years.

What you fail to understand is as long as Trump keeps demanding congress give him money for the wall (We all knew Mexico wasn't going to pay, that was just campaign rhetoric) it doesn't matter if it never gets built. It will be the evil Democrats fault because they wouldn't fund this wall. Trump tried and that's all we can ask of him.

Law enforcement in this country probably care

The Trump Foundation scam is going to snare his entire family and they face possible criminal liability (from which Trump can't pardon them or himself)

From that article..

“We’ll continue to move our suit forward,” Ms. Underwood said, “to ensure that the Trump Foundation and its directors are held to account for their clear and repeated violations of state and federal law.”

Bull. They will not be held accountable. She knows it.. we know it.

Trump already got his ass handed to him on the wall

Republicans are going to pass a spending bill and it won't include a dime for the wall

However if Trumptards really want a wall they can contribute to the Go Fund Me page linked below.  If all 63 million Trump voters kick in about 80 bucks they can get their wall and then they can wait from Trump to get their money back from Mexico

We shall see.

The entire foundation was a scam from the start and the Trumptards made no effort to hide their crimes.

The only reason it wouldn't matter is if he is running against a poor/terrible candidate again where you have to pick the better option and even then many will turn on him for not doing this or even really trying to do it.

People were giving him the benefit of the doubt before but backing down/caving in again will be a big mistake on his part.

I don't know.. I can say "If you give me a million dollars I can do X..." and if I never get the million dollars, I'm exonerated from my promise. But in his case., the facts are, he said "Believe me.. We'll build the wall, and Mexico will pay for it" over and over. But his base won't hold him to that when he says "The Evil Democrats wouldn't let me, I could have, if they would have done X" His base won't be "You said you would and you didn't, you lied" they will be all "Those evil Democrats!"

Trump just yesterday said he wouldn't shut down the government this month even though Congress hasn't given him the funds he requested for the wall. Maybe he's got a wall funding plan that he's holding off on for now. At least he's thinking of the troops and Christmas. Gotta give him credit for this.

He should probably try harder. A lot of people who are expecting more may hold him accountable for the wall not happening. We will just have to wait and see. If he's still around in 2020 and running for re-election, the voters will let everyone know where they stand.

Your hero is fucked.  The wall?   HAHAHA.  Why isn't tough guy making Mexico pay for it like he promised all the dumbasses that voted for him? He's a big fat orange pussy, period.  Lies, and lies and lies, and his dumbass supporters eat it up.  Open up, here is another spoon full of shit from Donnie.  But but but the Clinton Foundation.  Look who just shut down their foundation, poor Donnie.  What a fucking scumbag.  He is going to federal prison, just wait.  If any of you idiots knew how a federal conspiracy investigation works then you would know he is completely fucked, and so is his family.  When you are that big of a piece of shit, then people are lined up waiting to nail your ass, and that is exactly what is happening.  He is the biggest dumbass, and worst negotiator the world has ever seen.  Hey, we defeated ISIS hahaha.  Even the stupid fuck republicans are against his dumbass on this one.  His butt buddy Putin wants us out of Syria though, so Donnie must comply.

Money, and himself, and that is it.  He is pulling the troops out of Syria because he knows he is fucked so he is trying to do something to save his ass and look good, and Putin wants us out of there.  You really think he is thinking of the troops and Christmas?  All about deflection.
