In the end you got nothing and you consider this a victory.
The economy got so bad here in Canada, that I thought pursuing it in court could be worthwhile. I mean, who says no to even $50,000? I was watching a YouTube video with Mark Cuban who said that he will basically give a speech anywhere if he gets $50,000 for it [presumably with expenses for travel and accommodations covered too, although I can't recall if he said that]. But yeah...no matter how good your financial position is, why say no to $50,000? And the reason why I'm using that figure is because that is the LEAST amount of money it would cost LU to deal with any court case. And my case would be another guaranteed loss for them.
Although they seem to enjoy losing court cases apparently.

Meanwhile, another Canadian LU - Laurentian University - recently went insolvent, and is currently seeking creditor protection:
Laurentian University, which became the first publicly funded entity in Canada to seek creditor protection after declaring insolvency earlier this year, has fired 100 academics, cut 69 programmes – and shattered what it proudly billed as its tri-cultural mandate by disproportionately cutting back francophone and indigenous offerings.

I consider it a win because LU was forced to remove my trespass ban and allow me to take more courses, and reinstate my position in the math department if I request it.
So yeah, I consider that a win - even though it's just going back to normal.
At least they know they can't try to shove some woke BS down my throat again. These morons literally think social justice is the law, and it wouldn't surprise me if they go bankrupt in the process of pursuing SJW'ism.

Even when they are bankrupt, they will still feel vindicated for whatever reason. God, leftists are such morons.

is more math the answer?
Yeah, lol!
Yes, it is.

I am of the belief that we can learn from all sorts of people in life. I don't have a spiritual outlook or anything like that...but I'm sort of starting to think that everything happens for a reason - even bad things. I feel like we can learn from people who we wouldn't ordinarily think we could learn from.
Do you recall Ironage pornographer Tom Byron? In this video below, he says "I'm good at what I'm good at":
I think this is true of everyone. I think this is true of me with math. It just so happens that I'm very good at computational math. Applied math, basically [not theory - I suck at theory...The Unabomber was amazing at theoretical math. I suck at it, and I am completely aware of that]. And I feel like most of our skills are genetic.
And I suppose focusing on math keeps me grounded. I don't intend to apply to the Master's degree program, but since I have the prerequisites for almost every Master's level math course offered at LU [aside from one, I think, since I don't have my fourth year Advanced Calculus credit {yet}], I think taking a math course here and there at LU sort of does help me.
It's not 100% required, but I feel like I don't have the discipline necessary to teach myself high level math as quickly as a 12-week university course [one semester] unless I am forced to do it.
I could probably teach myself most courses...but not on the same schedule. I always felt the deadlines at university just put unnecessary pressure on students, but in hindsight, I think people won't work as hard towards something unless they have deadlines in place, and people are less likely to self-impose those deadlines.
So yeah...I do think maybe more math would at least help, even if it's not the answer.
I may have "Math Palumboism" though.

I think our capacity to do math tends to burn out at a younger age. Jake Gyllenhaal's character explained that in the Gwyneth Paltrow "Big Math" movie, "Proof" [although that movie sucked anyway]:

Another math course would be ok...but it's hard to tolerate universities these days, with woke SJW horseshit even infecting the STEM departments lately.

Universities are pretty much social justice reeducation camps in 2021. It is what it is...I'd be surprised if any universities are still solvent in 2040, given how insanely SJW they are these days.
