Some beautiful plates there.  Too nice to use.

I have a couple complete sets of those Weider Int'l plates.

While functional they are crudely made. 

However I got them used really cheap so it's all good.

When I lived in San Diego there were some VERY old/rare plates and dumbbells in Stern's gym.  The gym is still there and is located in North Park on Grenada St.  Maybe the owner would be willing to sell them to you.

Those must be crazy expensive. I couldn’t imagine there is enough demand to mass produce those things, and that they’re all hand made.

    it's hard to find old vintage plates for a good price anymore. if i had known i would have stocked up 20 years ago. i passed up some plates i could have bought for a little and sold for a lot now. best month i sold 1700 bucks worth.

They have Ferrigno and Dan Lurie plates at the gym I workout at now.  I don't like the new paint though, it takes the character away.

i know he was the first bodybuilder to put out specific training booklets. as opposed to the total courses put out by men like sandow, jowett,atlas,bonomo .
