There was a pretty good skit in which Hulk Hogan was trying to get Mean Gene in shape, and when they were out running Gene kept stopping at food vendor stands, “I just want a beer and a brat!”

He looked well in the HBO documentary on Andre the Giant from last year. I would have never guessed that he was within less than a year of his death.

Loved vids of him in the AWA on Youtube. Hogan and Gene left for the WWF together I think.
