I think it probably would lower BP for sure.  Go eat a big T Bone steak vs a Salad and Tofu check your BP after both you'll see.

Never said that BUT, vegan diets are overrated hype. I can't count how many obese vegans there are out there and a couple that I personally know.

A lot, I'm talking about an overhyped, well marketed "diet". I'm not saying it won't work, anything works, the question is, is one better than another. For the non-athlete or someone that just goes to the gym to "keep in shape" fine, but everything has to be planned.....very few plan.

Even after my "event" my blood panel came back perfect, why? 1. Because I had dropped almost 30lbs 2. My diet was on point while still eating while still eating 2-3lbs of meat (beef, chicken, fish, etc) per day.

For me it's 140/80 as high-carb, low-fat vegan, 115/80 as high-fat, meat and vegetable diet.

But cholesterol was extremely low as a vegan. Not sure about now, haven't had a blood test since going "mostly carnivore".

I think you’re a fairly young guy so bp isn’t a concern? I’ve checked my bp after a steak dinner albeit with mashed potatoes and it was a little higher than the norm. To me nothing beats vegetables/salad and a meat “for looking good”. I’d think a vegan diet would produce a lower bp reading.

I'm 32, not exactly young. But I've had high blood pressure since my early 20s; it just runs in my family

When I first drop carbs and go to pure meat/veg, I look incredible for a few days. But then the cardio gets harder and the inflammation starts up again. I start relying stimulants and my heart feels bad.

Do you eat any carbs besides vegetables? I think I'm going back to a 'balanced diet' soon.

I am 85% vegetarian  8),I would eat fish/seafood , but not barbecued cook beef !.

At Patong Banzaan market I buy life fish & restaurant on another floor cook that 4 me ...... ;)

I pay $ 10 for Durian fruit  :D, much much smaller & lower quality  Durian sells in the states for $ 100-120 ...... :P

How many Americans can recognize 'Masung King Durian' or good Dragon fruit , no need to mention Jackfruit, Mangosteen,.................

& the best of all no obesity in sight ............. ;D
