people are already criticizing this GT500 for not giving a Manual gearbox option and  instead, replaced it with the rotary gear selector....the rotary gear selector is a first time for the Mustang brand....I'd say chill out already...this GT500 is gonna kick ass on the track and it's also DCT, a first time for the mustang brand.....I'm already seeing a big reduction in price for used GT350 with 10k+ miles going for the low 48-50k......

Cool looking Miata!

hahahah piece of shit.

If you mean it'll be tearing up the race tracks around the world, then yes it does look like a Miata.  Good observation.  I'm sure we'll see more Supra racing series.

The Mustang is being overworked on the sheet metal. Starting to look like an old Nissan 240SX.

2019 Ram HD Brings Up To 1,000 Lb-Ft Of Torque, Class-Leading Towing
BY Dan Mihalascu

Ram backs these claims with the new model’s 35,100-lb (14,288-kg) towing capacity and a payload capacity of 7,680 lbs (3,483 kg).

These impressive specs are made possible by the new 6.7-liter Cummins inline six-cylinder turbo diesel engine that produces 400 hp at 2,800 rpm and up 1,000 lb-ft (1,354 Nm) of torque at 1,800 rpm. There’s also a de-tuned version of the same power plant that delivers 370 hp at 2,800 rpm and 850 lb-ft (1,151 Nm) of torque at 1,700 rpm that’s available on the 2019 Ram 3500 HD.

2020 Ford Shelby GT500 Is The Fastest, Most Powerful Mustang Ever
BY Michael Karkafiris

Ford didn’t reveal however all the details of the new GT500, saying it produces “over 700hp”, making it capable of 0-60mph in mid-three seconds and a quarter mile score of under 11 seconds.

1000% agreed.....this has got to be one of the biggest disappointment of the show....the 90's Supra was Legendary

The new Surpa BMW has just 15HP more than the same car from 1994??? Fucking seriously. The 2jz has legendary reliability & tunability. BMW's motors are fucking timebombs. Suddenly the new NSX isn't looking so bad.

It's the tranniemobile.   As disappointing to a REAL Man as finding out that the girl you've waited for at  the airport is nothing like the pictures she sent.  And it has a dickshift.  FTN of Ford and their 2020 Mudstain.

The flat plane crank 5.2L in the GT350 is badass.

Although I look forward to seeing the new Supra in person, overall the car is a bit of a let down.

I’m surprised that this wasn’t a minimum 400hp platform with either blown straight 6 or 32V DOHC V8.  Price it neck and neck with base C7.  Offer some of kind of TRD track pack for $8-10K upgrade.

More surprising to me is that Toyota worked with BMW in any capacity on a model with the heritage of the Supra.  This should have been a pure Toyota ground up design.  Supra name has too much brand equity.

2020 Kia Telluride

Kia's come a long way from the original Sephia.  The Telluride's based on the same platform as the Hyundai Palisade.

Supra looks like shit.

Looks like a Subaru BRZ had sex with a 2002 BMW Z

well that is actually not far off the truth.

pretty sure the 2020 Z4 and 2020 Supra shares platform. Meaning same engine, transmission and probably even shassis. Slight differences here and there but the "new Supra" is basically a Z4 with some different plastic panels I believe lol

I went to the car show in 80's as a small child and and my favorite car was the Supra.  When I was in college a friend of mine had a 90's supra turbo and it was the best car I'd ever ridden in, so I have a high opinion of the Supra.  In many ways I agree with you.  I want the DNA of a Supra to be Toyota engineered down to the sheet metal, engine, and transmission.  However, I still believe from a pure sports car perspective, this is the best Supra ever.  I just view it as a Z4 you can take to the Toyota dealer for service.

I'm looking forward to the days when we no longer name engines things like "eco-boost".

Pure phaggotry.

Not to mention the reliability problems Ford had in Europe with nearly all of their ecoboost 4 cilinder engines. Poorly designed and lousy engineering, combined with little testing

Gsus that new Supra is one of the ugliest cars of recent years! Pointless, especially after potential buyers having to wait so many years

Fuel injected cars had problems when they first became main stream.  Ford saw the benefits of turbo early and others followed.  Turbo's are now commonplace with GM, Chrysler, Toyota, and Honda playing catch up.

Buick ( GM ) has been turbo charging cars since 1978 Chrysler in 1984 Toyota in 85

I'm not talking about one or two models.  Every Ford model can be bought with a Turbo.  They were the first to do it on a mass scale.

Obviously Saab was in the forefront of Turbos, but they weren't a mass market brand.

I've been around much longer than the Mustang and own one myself.  This thing is now pile of shit Euro fugly.  Ford can go fuck itself because they've fucked the Pony Car.

I would gladly take a level 2 SS Camaro convertible over any current version of the Mudstain.  Fuck Ford.

WHY? Exterior or interior styling. I think the GT 500 looks great from the outside, but American cars really skimp on the interior .
