Both Dems and Republicans wanted fencing on parts of the border

They passed legislation and they built the fencing that they wanted

They never said or proposed a wall on the entire length of the southern border and they also never said that Mexico would pay for it

If Trump wants a wall all he needs to do is get Mexico to pay for it.  Keep in mind that will also include reimbursing private landowners whose land the government will need to seize to complete the wall

That's all Trump needs to do
