Ronnie back in for surgery YET again
« on: January 21, 2019, 01:20:02 PM »

ronniecoleman8
Hey guys this is not a repost, I’m in the hospital again getting ready for another surgery. About 2 months ago I had a hard fall at home which herniated a disc in my neck. So today I’m doing a level 3-4 fusion of my cervical spine. Dr says this disc is pressing really hard against my spinal cord so surgery is definitely required. Oh by the way I did get a second opinion within days apart from 2 different spine surgeons and they both told me the same thing. I needed surgery in the next few days. So here we go again, say a prayer for yo boy. #yeahbuddy #lightweightbaby #itstillaintnothingbutapeanut

Fusion with his discs and their condition is a poor option, disc replacement would be a much better but more expensive option.

What do they replace them with? Hell Ronnie is already in a couple of million why would he cheap out now?  ???

He's a wreck.  Seems a lot of heavy trainers self destruct but then again some of the light trainers like Dickerson self destructed too. I wish Ronnie the best.

I know he's having issues walking but I've seen a lot of "falls at home" come as a result of pain pill use.

I feel bad for the guy.

Jesus poor Ron. I hope he survives, I fear he is not going to wake up after so many procedures?

Any spine experts care to discuss if this is abnormal (to have so many fusions)? Also what are the long term effects of going under that much?

With total respect,

Is it possible he has some Michael Jackson surgery addiction but with his back? I mean you can always find some doctor that says he can tweak something with that many plates and screws but it gets like Micahels nose, at some point you are fixing damage cause by previous proceedures, replacing and adjusting screws until its really fucked or just gone like Michaels nose.

Is opioid-seeking causing this?

Ronnie not too long ago walked around as the biggest and strongest bodybuilder on the planet and now he’s “having falls” at home like a 90 year old woman? I know he trained like an idiot and caused most his damage himself but it still sucks he ended up like this

Another surgery in the books, hopefully the last one but I said that 4 surgeries ago. I’m just glad to be pain free because I was in tons of pain before surgery. Thank you guys for all your prayers, you guys are the greatest fans ever. No way I survive all this without y’all’s prayer and support. Now I know for sure why God put me on this Earth. I have doubted myself over the years but no more of that. With the inspiration and support I get from you guys, there’s no quit in me ever. Even my toughest times have been great because when you have the love and support I get from you guys, nothing never gets you down. I have the best wife in the world, the best kids, brother, sisters niece, nephew, auntie, cousins, business partner, staff at RCSS, the list goes on and on. I guess you can say I have the best life a guy can ever ask. By the way thanks Big J @bigj_extremefitness. Your always right here by my side. Well I am going home today so this will be the shortest stay ever. Don’t even think I made a whole day as the surgery started about 5 pm yesterday.

I wondered about that too - falling over while high on drugs?  Fine I suppose - but herniating disc(s) as a result??

And this following the Eddie Robinson 'Dog-over' that caused a similar injury last year...  ::)

Years of heavy free weight squats eroding the cervical spine on these guys?  Or just co-incidence (yeah, I know it's just co-incidence)

Either way, time for Valeo to launch a new range of bodybuilding neck braces, maybe?

true, but Ronnie didn't look like a fridge, do g4p, get shitted on, or has a stupid face tattoo. So it is a wash.
