ratherbebig is a classic example of the type of men to come out of the cultural revolution of the late 60s/early 70s. That pussified, feminized male that eschews fighting for what one believes in as "unevolved". In his case, I'm not sure if he is just very young or one of those increasing number of men in a perpetual state of arrested development that is in his late twenties or older that still lives with his parents. But one thing is abundantly clear, he's lived a very sheltered life and has very little experience with real life and the real world. The world is ruled by an aggressive use of force. It always has and always will be. There are always diplomacy, discussions, deals, and debates but all of that is worthless if not backed up by strength and force. Whether it's by bombs, guns, or fists. It's like that between countries and between individuals. Russia and North Korea are poor countries, but they have a lot of clout in this world. We care what they think, how they will react, and what they will do. That's because they have a strong military. Canada is a relatively prosperous country but have little clout on the world stage. The only clout they have is having a strong ally in the US. Nobody really wonders or cares about how Canada will react if North Korea or Iran get nuclear weapons. If the head of a Mexican Cartel sends word that he doesn't want to have a single homeless person even show their face on Fort Street Mall, after a few heads have been lopped off or even just a savage beating, even the most mentally challenged will get the hint.
He argues because the homeless are mentally deficient they are less amenable to corporal punishment. They will learn nothing. The fact of the matter is, the less evolved an organism the more effective the pleasure/pain stimulus becomes. With a rational person, you can reason with them. Let them see the consequences of their actions. That's why the Soviet Union and the United States never directly confronted each other. Why someone will stand up and confront a skinny, weak looking individual telling them to keep it down but will not do so if that individual is wearing a badge, officer's uniform, and a gun because the offender knows that individual has the backing of the State behind him. Strength, force, and the willingness to use it.
Say you have two scenarios, one where every time this homeless person demands food from someone he gets it, versus every time he demands food he gets a punch in the face. What scenario will keep him from bothering other people minding their own business?
