I don't know where you guys were, I was at the Expo on Saturday. There were a zillion people there. Seriously, I would love to know the attendance. Ron, do you know?
And a lot of big names. Aside from Cutler, Flex Wheeler, Rhoden, I saw Jon Delarosa, Stan McQuay, Regan Grimes, Sergio Oliva Jr, and others I can't recall.
Some random thoughts:
I think Lee Haney was walking out of the convention center just I walked in. If so, I was surprised how old he looked in the face.
Jeremy Buendia had the fanciest, most impressive set up I've ever seen. Like something out of the Detroit Auto Show.
Breon Ansley, reigning and two-time Mr. Olympia Physique champ, is shockingly small. 5'7" on a good day, but probably more likely 5'6." And not that big either, I would guess his weight is 190 on a good day. Maybe 180 on average. In your photo above, he's not much bigger than that chick. It just goes to show what an illusion competitive bodybuilding can sometimes be.
Shawn Ray looks like a bona fide weirdo in his sunglasses. Like some alien in a 1950's sci-fi movie.
