I'm fine. I have a problem with someone mentioning God and Trump in the same sentence. Anyway, it doesn't jive with my metaphysical religious beliefs. I don't believe God picks presidents...voters do.

Why do you have a problem with God and Trump in the same sentence?  One of my friends just told me the other day that Trump is subhuman.  You have the same view? 

I don't know if God picks presidents, but I do believe God uses people that allow themselves to be used for good. 

Also, you should like at some of the Biblical characters.  Have you ever read the story of David?  What that man did is worse than anything Trump ever thought about doing.  God used David for good after that.  In fact, the Biblical characters who did great things were deeply flawed.

Yup, what the Bible says might be some peoples' truth. In my opinion, it is just folklore which is greatly distorted by time and rewrites.

Well you mentioned having a problem with hearing God and Trump in the same sentence.  I was just providing historical context.  Even if you assume the Bible is just a work of fiction, the stories about how flawed people are used for good are all over the place.

This thread makes no sense. You don't like hearing "God" and "Trump" in the same sentence yet don't believe in God. If you do believe in god then it isn't the God of the Bible, but that is clearly what Sanders is referring too so the example given by Dos Equis is valid.

Like your mom told you when you were a kid, if you say it over and over it might come true. On the other hand, she forgot to mention that if it doesn't, you will have a severe mental break.

I was addressing Trump's term length. Sorry, didn't make that clear. Last time I spoke with him or her, God was very upset at being associated with Trump.  ;D

Except the "God" that is mentioned and printed is a generic term, interchangeable with whatever religion/deity the person reading it is following.  In no way does it signify a Christian god like these so called Christians are referring to as having chosen Trump.
