Never would I hit a woman just out of anger or for fun.

Now, if a woman is trying to hurt/kill me, for no apparent reason, and I plead for her to stop and try to walk away from the situation and she insists on trying to attack me (either with a knife or bare hands), then yes, in that case I would be forced to subdue her. Neutralizing the situation could involve strikes (hands or legs), but I recommend restraining them via a submission (think rear naked choke or armbar or ankle lock). That way, when the cops show up, you haven't used brute or deadly force and they can clearly see that you weren't trying to take advantage of her violent behavior by fully unloading on her. That said, if a female attacks you with a weapon (gun or knife), hurts you in the process, and you manage to have the strength to subdue her, then if you have to knock her out before she can let off another round on you, so be it. There are insane people out in this world and many also come in the female gender. You have to preserve your own life at all times.

So, while I do not condone violence against women from men, there are limits. Also, when it comes to matters of life or death (say war) everything goes out the window. Do you think that members of the US military would have any hesitation in shooting a female right on the forehead or beating them into a bloody pulp if said females were wearing the military uniform of say another country (insert Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam etc) and it came down to their lives versus the life of a US soldier? Fuck no.

Again, different circumstances call for different measures. For the record, I've never had to hit a woman, but I have seen men that have and in at least 2 situations, it was highly warranted.

If a woman can't look a man and instantly know that she is not going to come out on the winning side of an altercation with him unless he refuses to fight back, and then attempts to use that courtesy to her advantage to attack/hit/assault him....  then yeah, that bitch needs to be hit.  Needs to be shit kicked actually.

Just me, but it has never crossed my mind to hit a woman during an argument or out of anger. Just something that is alien to me. I have nothing but contempt for men that abuse women like that. But... if a woman steps up to the plate and starts swinging on me, depending on the situation, I would certainly try to restrain her with the least amount of force.  But I've had a woman come at me with a kitchen knife. At that point, she's earned the right to be treated as an equal.

We forget that women abuse men and they are more likely to get away with it. How many men in the Me Too movement claiming a woman sexually abused them. When a  woman hits a guy, he's supposed to just suck it up 'like a man' and quit being such a pussy.
