people watch me all the time and 5-10 minutes later i see them trying to do do the exact same exercise that i was doing for whatever reason..

Pic brings back a great memory, one that for me is my proudest moment lifting!
I moved to MN, and went to the White Bear Gold's Gym for the first time many years ago. When I went in the back portion of the gym, I noticed they still had 100# plates. I hadn't seen those anywhere for 10yrs. I was looking around to see what else was back there, and couldn't believe the size of some of the dbells along the wall. I walked over to see what they went up to, and they had 200's. I've never seen ones over 150 which the gym I worked at had where I moved from, and I could do one-arms with for 15-20 easily depending on how I felt. It took me 3 back workouts to build up the courage to try rowing the 200, hoping I wouldn't fail and look stupid. I hit them for a set of 8, and was stoked! Funny thing is that since I'm so damn short, the hardest part was actually trying to re-rack the fucking thing after I did the second side, and was wrapped to it with my strap. If anyone on here has/does train there and it's still the same, that place has the tallest d-bell rack I've ever seen....is it still a Gold's or did it change/close?
