I'm sincerely sorry for your loss.
Lost a great lab mix we got from an old folks home a couple years ago.
Poor guy got cancer and it got the best of him.
He passed away laying on the recliner in our "man cave" in his sleep.
It was damn tough loading his body into the back of the car to be cremated at the Vets.
I cried like a baby.
I'm sure the greedy pigs do based on how much they want each year for a "health/wellness" check up, but do vets add insult to injury so to speak by charging to disposal of the remains? If so how much?
Like I said earlier, I'm worried my best furry friend might only have about five yrs. so I have thought about this. There's so much rural land here I'm thinking of burying her someplace that I'd like to go back and visit her that has a nice serene atmosphere with a calming view. My only concern is some animal digging her up. Even that seems better than the thought off her being incinerated though??? Not sure what the right thing is.
Curious, since others have lost fury loved ones....what's your take on this?
Sorry to turn the thread morbid, but it's part of life and the one downfall of having a pup or cat as a companion and buddy.
