Vietnamese is influenced by French cuisine. Some say it is a blend of both.

I like Pad Thai. Thats about it from that country. I was married to an Okinawan and love Okinawan food the best. But I was also married to a Vietnamese and there are many dishes they have that I love. The bottom line is there is no one asian culinary food I like, and probaby the same for most people. Sometimes I crave spring rolls and bun thit nun, other times it's sushi. Then I want some pad thai, or tonkutsu or Udon. just depends on the mood.

Japanese easily. I'll never forget eating Kobe beef in Kobe, Japan. They showed me the family tree of the animal I was eating, they take that shit seriously over there LOL. Thai food is not bad, but more comfort food. Same with Vietnamese. But ingredients are never top notch.

For ultimate quality and taste - Japanese but it's going to cost some. Quality is not cheap.

One of my favorite foodie memories was eating Kobe Beef at the 4 Seasons restaurant in Okinawa. Nothing like it...
