I can't even read the story. Jussie faking himself getting beat up was funny. Someone faking a hate crime by committing the crime of murdering a defenseless puppy, is not something I'm willing to devote time to reading about.

Feb. 25, 2019 Joly was granted a continuance. This shit happened in 2017. What the heck is taking the system so long to get it to trial? If he's guilty, he should be burned at the stake in the town square.

I myself am Italian - my mother was born in Calabria. She is 100% Italian.

Hi Matt!

Why you hate them? Being myself from the far north I can tell you people of my area generally despise those of the south.

Mostly because of their lifestyle (no job, live on state aid) and attitude (the same they "exported" to the US via immigration) but nevertheless if you travel there you'll find beautiful places and in general friendly people.

I guess in the US Italians are perceived like guidos, wops etc but only because you have seen only one side of the coin.

Because is enlightened ( he grew up in Canada ) and is probably very disappointed (maybe even ashamed?) when he sees them, their behavior and hear them talk.

Their behavior leaves much to be desired for Matt.

Yes, I guess that would be the way Kwon, but it’s not very common for people visiting Italy to come to the North: the nicest places are in the South.

People from the North of Italy very rarely emigrated to other countries since the economic situation was always better than the South in any case.

This is the reason why usually (and in the US also) everybody get to know only the southern Italian guys (not that I have something against then, its’ just that we’re very different).

Think of the Italian man from the North as very similar to a German guy (but with far more sense of humor of course!)

I am sure Matt would change his views if someone offered him a trip to Northern Italy for 2 weeks+.

But his impression now is based on what he has seen and experienced, which probably is 99 % the southern version.

Then again, why would a Northener leave and go for USA or Canada? Sounds like they're content where they are.
