Cars are pretty shitty looking - over-designed and round.
I would keep a backup car if I were to buy a Tesla.

Im seeing some etrons roll past in london. they are pretty silent. The iPace size is more like a crossover. The etron is more like a Q5, a bit bigger. Still small vs my GL420 though.

This new Tesla roadster that will be released in late 2019 or early 2020 looks incredible.

Yeah, but it's a $250,000 car. As a shareholder I wouldn't be happy with all the other makers gaining ground.

The electric Mustang is ugly.

Why do they make electric cars so ugly?

And $46k to start?  Why would anyone buy one?

Ugly and expensive.

I'd rather buy a Subaru gas burner.

The low end Teslas are ugly too.

Client was talking about getting the "30k Tesla coming out 'next yr' " back in 2015.

Wouldn't consider one unless #1 it was new (a lease, most likely), & #2 already had 2 other cars, one of which being worth as much or more than the Tesla (s-class, Rover, etc..).

Imagine the hipsters buying these used, and parking them on the street outside their apt, with 2 min-wage jobs when they find out they need a new set of batteries.

The demand for Tesla and fully electric vehicles is nowhere close to where it needs to be, to make selling an electric vehicle profitable.  So for tesla this is not good because they only sell electric vehicles so NO profits, (unless its selling Green/Environmental credits to other companies i.e. walmart, bestbuy, john deere what have you).  But for companies like BMW, Porche, Nissan, Chevy, Ford, selling an electric vehicle at a loss is not the worst thing because they sell ICE gasoline  vehicles at a PROFIT!

Also at the end of the day i prefer a fuel source that can be brought to my vehicle or i can bring my vehicle to.  I know lots of people and friends who want and are probably going to get an electric vehicle or Tesla, The number question i ask is,  Where are you going to charge it?  90% of people will respond "Oh thats easy they have a place at work or right next to my work"   Uh huh ok, If thats your plan,  Good luck with your plan, But failure to plan on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.

Also the autopoilot is waaay to high of a risk vs. reward for me and the lithium battery is basically a tank of napalm if the car gets into the right accident which is still too much risk vs. reward for me.

I should also mentioni get 1000's of likes on instagram with my gym selfies, so i don't need tesla selfies to improve my gram status,  This probably clarifies everything for most of you ;)

Agree with all you wrote. The best cars out there that take advantage of electricity are hybrids. I owned a Toyota Prius and put 100K miles on it. Averaged 50 plus mpg and loved it. I also owned a Toyota Highlander hybrid. Got 30 mpg city/highway, with all wheel drive. Loved that too. I wish Toyota would design a hybrid 4 seater sport version though. The Prius is awesome but kinda boring looking, haha.

No looking for electric charging stations although now the Toyota Hybrids let you run electric only for a short distance and you can charge them at home. As for the battery pack in a hybrid, the guy who bought my Prius has about 150K on it and the batteries are still the original.

Exactly hybrid gas/electric are in reality the most fuel and environmentally friendly vehicles.  I love how people exaggerate about zero emissions.  So naive can’t see the forest from the trees.  Do people ever stop to wonder where electricity comes from?  Yeah burning coal that’s why China has a big push for electric vehicles because their country has shit tons of coal and they burn shit tons of it for electricity producing shit tons of pollution and electricity for the electric vehicles hooray!!!!
