Not ALL a machine workout.

You did partial deadlifts with dumbbells.

Thanks for posting Coach - quick question if I may - do you use anything PWO?  Not necessarily a 'stimulating'/BB product either - it might be that you ensure a certain level of hydration or something.  And do you drink anything other than water while training..?  Genuine interest from one of the older fellas

(If you already covered this somewhere else in your thread, apologies

I drink a quart of milk or kefir about 30 minutes prior to training.  Yup.  I really do! Helps me to get a good pump too!  ;D

I’ll have a cup or 11/2 cups of coffee first thing in the morning about 5:30-6 then a 1/2 dose of a pre-workout about :30-:45 before training on my way to the gym (it takes me about an hour to get to get to the gym, I usually train about 10 or 11am and that’s it for the stimulants for the day. I only drink water during training and 2-3 gallons throughout the day.

How are your knees?

I noticed they are wrapped up in the leg training video.

Hey Scott - how're y'doing?  :)

From the point of view of a bro-scientist I can figure how the lactose might help a workout.

Never tried kefire, I'll have to get hold of some.  Do you use that because you feel a benefit from it, or do you just like the taste? Cultural reasons? (Full disclosure:  I had to Google kefir as I'd never heard of it.  Dairy alternatives in this house are the usual almond and oats milk, maybe hemp if it's in the store - but strictly no soy - das ist verboten!  >:(

Thanks for the response, Coach.  An hour to get to the gym?!  Wow - must be a great place.  I like decent coffee (black) too but I've never got the shakes or insomnia like some unfortunates, so I'll drink it whenever I want.  As for the water intake, even when I was younger and training much harder I could never approach these sorts of numbers (over a pint an hour without fail)  You must have very clean kidneys at this point  ;)

Kefir is the tastiest of all pro-biotics,hardly any carbs, 6-7 varieties in supermarket, vikings use to drink it too, I can easily live on Kefir & low carb fruits
with some amino acids. Health foods shops sell only 1-2 brands.
