I haven't lived in Canada for 37 years. I am doing fine in this thread. Whenever a philosopher argues with a Sophist it is hard to convince spectators who has the advantage. When I know I am right about something I persist. Praise and blame are cast aside like rain from an umbrella. Bob is stubbling around wondering what to say next.

You have to laugh when a fan of his puts up this poll to support Bob and poor Bob gets 25% of the vote while Rusty gets 60%. The OP must be shaking his head.

I feel sorry for anyone who got put down in a contest. That happened to me in 1975 when Paul Graham and governor Arnold made me come last in my class in the Mr Australia contest in Melbourne. When I see that happening to others it pisses me off and I have to speak up. Rusty Jeffers was put way down against a lot of ageing guys nowhere near as good as he was. It is actually embarrassing to see how bad they look in the individual poses. Bob is a big guy and his presentation is professional but he just doesn't have the hardness, shape or aesthetics to beat Rusty. The guy is on a different level and maybe one day Bob might admit it. Naw, guys like him and Goodrum never fess up about stuff like this.

Some people here have agreed with me and others do not. So what, this is why we have more than one judge at bodybuilding contests.

Vince...post some pics of Rusty from behind from the Master's (not old photos)...you will see weakness, thus the crux of his low placing.

I also don't think his 'alternative' activities helped him much, like it or not.

I thought Bob deserved top honors that day. Just my opinion

Sometimes I think I am still at grad school arguing things in seminars. I remember the time I had this serious debate about whether the table in the room was actually there. It took a lot of convincing to accept that, philosophically, I could be wrong. Naturally, I was 100% convinced I was psychologically right. The point being that what is possible has really no limits. I wonder if most of the lads here know the difference?

Bob has little clue about debating an issue in a rational fashion. He merely attacks the person and keeps dismissing the issue instead of confronting it. Amazing that some here think he is doing a good job. Guess that is why guys like Arnold got elected, huh? He explains all the unsavoury things he did in the past as stuff young fellows do. I don't think so. The guy didn't think laws applied to him and he took whatever he wanted and usually got what he wanted. Too bad guys like him Arnold and Zane don't post here. Mike is gone so we lost the main philosopher in bodybuilding which is a pity.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.....Mike Mentzer was as thick as pigshit. I actually trained with him and Ray in Golds Venice (Hampton Drive) 1981 when I was Controller of JM Huber Corporation and they paid for me to work in California for 6 months. I came back to Scotland in October that year and placed top 3 Masters Mr Scotland NABBA (my first show in 10 years, last one being NABBA Universe medium height 1971). I won the Masters West Coast UK in December 1981. Both Mike and Ray used g4p (sometimes together for $200 per hour) to make their rent. It's real sad what happened to them because they were hetro guys who really hated riding the Hershay Highway.
I have to say that Bob looks damn good in the pictures posted on this thread.
