Has to be. Cutler has no kids(I think) compared to Ronnie's 8 kids. In addition, Coleman has been constantly going under the knife. I don't care what kind of health insurance you have, when you have 8 operations on your back, something big is coming out of pocket.
Not necessarily. When I tore my distal bicep tendon I had a $750 deductible, and my max out of pocket was either $1250 or $1500...don't remember for certain. Long story, but I couldn't type for almost 9 months (an absolute must for my job...probably 50-60% of a 10-12 hr day minimum). That meant LTD insurance kicked in, and I didn't even pay my $750 deductible for what was almost $20k worth of visits, x-rays, mri's, and 2 surgeries while unable to work.
If Ronnie had/has good insurance....which he likely does through his company, it's likely cost him very little and had a minimal impact on his earnings... if any real impact at all.
Keep in mind also that Ronnie is a very likable guy, an ex cop, a fairly well-known "celebrity", and their repairs keep breaking. He's posting vids of himself on a bike, using a walker, and doing very minimal weight workouts even for an average gym rat on the rare occasion he does work out. All of that means that he's part of the fam (cops and medical deal with each other more than regular citizens), they are rooting for him for several reasons, and
most importantly he's a walking billboard for that Dr. and hospital's success/failure. Some discounts are likely to be given.
