Thousands, in ancient times?  Yes.  Millions?  No.  No evidence of that.

However, it's well documented that atheist commies such as Mao, Pol Pot, and Stalin each murdered millions in modern times.

You want to believe thousands That’s Fine.
Still a lot of People Needlessly Died For a Imaginary Mythical Weirdy Beardy Man in the Sky.

Yes - You’re Correct sadly many millions have died by those Dictators & Others To.
And Many Die in all Wars / Internal Conflicts & Are Being Killed Now.

As Humans on a Global Society Scale we’ve really not changed Very Much in Thousands of Years.

I’m not an atheist or Believe in any Kind of Religion
I don’t Believe there is A Father Christmas I still Get a Few Christmas presents
I don’t Believe in the Easter Bunny & Yet still get Easter Eggs
How do I know - Because they are Made up Stories.

There is No AfterLife - Prove to Me In Hard Provable Facts There Is Pls.

 :)
Even if the stories in the Bible were completely made up doesn't mean there is no afterlife.  They are two separate things.  You anti religion people always make this mistake.

It is an untestable thing either way.  No one can prove one way or the other.  You non believers in an afterlife have no proof of your belief either.

It doesn’t exist- Death equals end of.
How many countless millions have died including my mother & Daughter
And Not 1 has come back to say hey this is good.

I believe in Facts & Proof - neither of which you can provide.

You just hold an opinion, you have no proof either, surely you can see that?

Sorry about your mother and daughter, I don't agree with your views in this one instance but am sorry for your loss.

Hey Rascal!!

While I get what you're saying about no evidence on either side, the burden of proof falls on the person making the claim. As such, the theist is making the claim that a God exists and the atheist is rejecting that claim due to insufficient evidence. I don't have to prove that X does not exist. The other has to prove that X exists.

An example:

Doctor A indicates that he has cured cancer.
Doctor B does not have to prove that Doctor A did not cure cancer.
Doctor A has to present the evidence that he cured cancer and Doctor B will either accept or reject the evidence--he doesn't have to prove Doctor A wrong.

Basically, you never have to prove that X doesn't exist because it's impossible to prove. That's like saying, "Unicorns are real because you can't prove they don't exist." Do you see the flaw in that line of thinking?

Further, I wouldn't say "one just holds an opinion." Not all opinions are created equal. There are good opinions backed by good evidence and bad opinions, which are backed up by poor reasoning and logic. Not all opinions have equal merit.

Cheers mate!!

SF’s Reply sums it up well
The onus to prove something ( Afterlife ) exists falls on you Those that say there is an Afterlife.

I’m Very Sorry & Saddened by My Family Losses & Would so Dearly love to Think I will
Be with them again - That just isn’t going to Happen.
Life & Death is difficult to deal with at times - All this around us & with us is hard to Face that

Hi buddy, thanks for your thought provoking reply. Yes, I accept what you have said and appreciate your polite and tactful way of wording. I personally do believe in some form of afterlife. No, unfortunately I cannot prove it to you so I totally understand why you would not feel the same way as me. I just have a problem with people who are so sure of things of which we cannot be sure. 'There is no afterlife!' 'When we die we die!' Maybe they are right but we don't know 100% so certainty on these matters should be taken out of the equation. Lots of things are yet to be discovered by science. Lots of things are still a mystery to us. As humans, I don't believe we know a fraction of the knowledge still to be discovered. Besides, as I go through life the ideas of Karma and Re-incarnation are starting to appeal to me more and more. No I can't prove them but they fit somewhere within the framework of my thinking so they have power and resonate with me.

Ever hear of reincarnation?  Heaven and Hell?  Parallel realities?  I can't provide proof and neither can you.  The difference is that you say you KNOW when that is simply not possible.  You BELIEVE your concept of reality and that is all.

Thanks for the response.

There's a difference between the statements: "There are no Gods" and "I don't believe in a God." The former statement assumes that no Gods exist, while the latter statement assumes that I personally do not believe in a God because of X (whatever reason that may be). While the wording is tricky, the former statement does not leave room that one can be wrong.

As for "certainty," you are correct. There are not many things in this world that we know for certain. So, I agree, debating with the word "certain" is probably not a good idea. I prefer to use the word "probable." I would say something like, "Based on the best, current available evidence, I reject that a God exists, however, with sufficient evidence, I am open to the possibility that a God exists."

I believe in Karma, but not in a metaphysical sense. I think if you do good things, you are more likely to have good things happen to you based on social reciprocity (if you do good for others, they are more likely to do good by you). If you do shitty things to others, people are more likely to treat you shitty.

X

People often cite that none of what they read in the Bible can be proven.  They sometimes claim that the Nazarene is made up and never existed because no proof can be found except for the written word. In some texts others made claim to have met him but then how can we trust them if we've never met the ones making that claim?

Every day here we read posts from people we don't know in the real world.  People that exist only in the written word and yet we believe they exist.  Weird huh?  And this coming from an Atheist.

Personally it's difficult for me to believe that people as fucking retarded as SF1900, Wiggs and tbombz actually exist but having read their typing over the years I can accept the fact that really stupid, really ignorant, really racist, really faggy people like them populate this planet.  But again, some here claim to have met them but then how can we trust them if we've never met the ones making that claim?  Pictures can be produced but what if they are just that, "produced"?

If ambulatory turdballs like the aforementioned 3Spooges can exist, why can't good and decent people have existed too?  The answer is they can and did.  Whether or not they were the person written records claim them to be is up to each of us to decide on.

In closing I should like to say, fuck the Pope.  He's a lying sack of shit with an immoral agenda that does no one of worth any good.

The difference is in what people are willing to accept and in doing so, how that acceptance affects them and those around them.

People need religion, just like a kid needs his safety blanket. Life contains too much suffering and uncertainty and many need the idea of a higher power/purpose to make it through the day.

A Few Quick Questions.

Do animals have an afterlife
Are they reincarnated
Do they believe in a God & or Religion

Oh, I see you're another James Randi copycat, figures.  Why is it my responsibility to prove my beliefs but yours have to be taken as fact?  I'm not even religious but admit those things could be true.  No one knows one way or the other.  There are people who have lived on this Earth way smarter than you who did/do believe in an afterlife.

There have been millions of people who have had near death experiences but I'm sure you don't believe them.  There is no amount of evidence that will ever convince you unless you die and find out yourself.  Feel free to kill yourself and find out.

BTW, why do you use a name like illuminati if you only accept easily proven stuff?
