Magic is smarter than most ex NBA players and he made good investments when he was playing so yes he has money.  He has sucked at other ventures though.  If it weren't for basketball and those big checks he would be a poor ghetto nobody.

I do agree with your logic here, getting an MBA put me in a much better position to run a company.  I'm betting a lot of them can't even read/understand a balance sheet.

On the flip side there are some outliers to your statement.  Danny Ainge for instance has been great.  He's a solid negotiator too.  Vlade D seems to also be doing well with the kings. What about Jerry West?
