what exercise is the blond bomber doing here ?  is it an unusual sissy squat type exercise. did anyone ever do this on here ?

Just a guess, but fighting to maintain sissy squat position against the pull down resistance is what he was after there. Sort of like an isometric hold type of thing.

I love this exercise, but it’s even better while seated, so you can isolate your urethra muscles

I bet in the 60's they experimented with inventing new movements. Everything had to start somewhere and I'm sure many things were discarded.

                   charts of exercises using barbells  started in the 1930's already.

I've always wondered, but never asked until now...

For those that were around Platz in CA, did he train the rest of his bodyparts that intensely, or did he just play up his strong point?
