Haven't seen wrestling in years but Bret Hart was always involved in "unplanned incidents" like the Montreal Screwjob. Simply because he just didn't really have the charisma and mic skills to hype a crowd. He was like the last of the old "real wrestlers" like Bruno Samartino, was kind of a good guy, no real personality and wanted to just be known for his classic matches, being from a legendary family, etc. But on his own he was just quite boring. Once wrestling went full show and drama, he never really fit in. Kind of like the Frank Zane of wrestling, great, legendary and boring.
