I liked Tucker's intro he did about this a couple of weeks ago.  Something like, will all of the immigrants coming in have to immediately start paying into the pool of funds for reparations?  If so how will you start that conversation? When you do start talking about it with them, how will you explain that to them and convince them it's fair and the right thing to do?  And when you do have that conversation, can we watch and listen?

The talk of this is fucking madness.  I actually have a copy of my dad's side first immigrants papers coming through Ellis Island.  Slavery was long abolished then.  No one on either side of my family has ever owned a slave.  I grew up in one of the whitest places in America with 2 black kids, but tons of Indians (there was no such term as native americans used then, as we didn't have to distinguish them from those from India)  Everyone got along.  In fact, the first and only time I ever even heard the word n i gger used in the 15 yrs of growing up there was when a football player was accused of sexually assaulting a white girl at a bar.  I had to ask what it meant.  The next time I heard the word was when I moved to where I'm at now which is much more diverse.  I'd see more black people in the flesh in a day at school than I'd seen in 15yrs where I grew up.  And so rap came into my life, and the word was thrown around like it was nothing, which confused me having been told it was such a bad word?  

Anyway, the point of all of that is I don't understand how the fuck I'm responsible for anything that happened to the distant relatives of someone based on skin color when my ancestors weren't even here for it?  I also find it hysterical that this is happening now.  If this came up back in the 60's during the civil rights movement, I'd maybe think differently.  However, probably 50%+ of blacks today don't even know who the fuck their daddy is.......so how can I be sure that the money they're getting is actually for someone in their family lineage that was a fucking slave?  Oh, and another thing to ponder is this.......the cruelest slave owners of all were said to be BLACK slave owners......who btw, were ALL democRATS!

When it comes to this ballot issue, I (POSITIVELY ) vote....

I'm not sure what college you went to but I had to work my ass off .....most of the time.
My father paid for some of it.  I also had student loans and worked all 4 years.  I had the student loans paid off within a few years after graduation.

This black or white way of look at the world stupid and especially when some dumbfounded dipshit doesn't like something that happened at a college and gives a universal prescription to skip college and send your kid to trade school....and then doesn't even follow his own advice.

I know people that are high school drop outs that turned themselves into literal millionaires by starting their own business through the trade they learned and I fucking guarantee you they would bury just about any of today’s college grads when it comes to street smarts which is probably more useful than what was and is taught in today’s education systems.

And what about your education do you feel makes you better at owning your company than what you can learn on your own by reading and doing?  You really think you couldn't have started your business straight out of high school with zero debt other than your business computer and software needs?  Which btw, it sounds like your daddy would have likely paid for at least part of that.

I went back to school at 39, and got straight A's with the exception of one class that had a shitload of math stuff that was way over my head as I haven't had to use anything other than simple formulas in excel since high school(still got an 88% FG).......but that stupid piece of paper was needed to convince people I'm management material since they had one.  I could have taught the fucking classes practically as I've done or read most of what I "learned" in school throughout my working life b4 going back.
