I'd agree with you IF Trump didn't keep throwing gasoline on the impeachment fire.

He's clearly in contempt of congress for refusing to release his tax returns as legally requested by the House Ways and Means Comm.
Plus, he's stated he'd block McGahn from testifying before the House oversight comm.

Trump is getting rave support from his core base, but he's backing Pelosi and the dems into a corner.
If he continues refusing lawful dems from congress, the only choice they have left , is to impeach him for obstruction .

There is no impeachment fire because Trump hasn't committed an impeachable offense.

He is not in contempt of Congress.  Congress has no right to his tax returns.  There is no legislative purpose. 

He ought to assert executive privilege, particularly after letting McGahn be interviewed for over 30 hours.
