As all of you know I was on some R&R at my beach house in Rodanthe. I had the pleasure to meet up with some of the old members of TEAM A23 Positive at the OBX Brewing Station to talk about the good dope days.
We went over a few topics and I will be posting them weekly. Here is Topic Number One for the week of April 26th 2019.

Clothing Line Joe Local SoCal.

1. The line is very gender specific. Hemming the manufacture into just a male clothing brand and losing out of a big percentage of the market. Example: Jane Local or Jill Local.

2. The line is called "Joe Local SoCal". What if you are not in SoCal? You have now hemmed yourself into a certain area of the country. John from St. Louis is not going to wear a SoCal shirt. BUT if you individualize the line you could win over other areas.

3. Who is Joe Local? Why is his name "Joe"?  We know nothing about this man.

4. Is this athleticwear or casualwear? The buyer is confused.

5. What is the clothing made of? Is it made in the USA? Is it a breathable fiber? Is it loose enough or have a generous fit in order to do aerobics?


The Team talked a good hour and a half over this and came to the conclusion that the brand would fail in one year if these changes weren't implemented.

Yes it is. I originally thought it was a restaurant/gastro pub he was opening but I was misinformed. I really go through the forum very quick and skim through because I have so many PM's to answer. But yes, I don't know what the price point of the articles of clothing are but I was told it was the same quality as B.U.M. Equipment which is very good.  The thread count on those sweaters were very high and durable. More info on that is needed.

There may be restaurant branding in the near future.

If all goes well the manufacturer for B.U.M. Equipment may take over production. If terms cant be reached we have Bugle Boy lined up for a relaunch featuring the JL brand.

Well then I wasn't too misinformed. I received a PM about Coach starting a restaurant/Gastro Pub and was extremely excited about it. I love Balboa's Tap House and was looking forward to Coach's Pub. I hope I didn't let the cat out of the bag. This is great news!

I know, but you just cannot compare a WG logo or Gold sGym  with a local shop. Its like trying to bargain a Harley Davidson shirt.
Those Brands are consolidated for decades

I don't want one specific to my region, and that's not realistic from a cost standpoint for your business or the consumer......just want one that does not say so. cal or HB

Everyone here knows I spend a lot of time sampling craft beer. I now Pedro down at Balboa's Tap House, I am a certified cicerone so that person said you were opening up a restaurant. Whats the big deal? It was a mistake. 
You are getting very aggressive on this board Coach for no reason. Maybe you need to shut down your engines, recharge your batteries and get yourself back in neutral. Some time off will do you good. Take it from me, I just came back from my beach house and I feel great, ready to take on the world. If you are trying to start a business and your acting this way you need to step back and take a look at how your acting. I just hope you're not taking this out on your wife.

I think this is temporary as his carbs are very low and androgens very high.  A few more weeks and hopefully he will return to the upbeat, christian warrior that we all know and love.

Why are you being so aggressive? I just made a comment on someone else's suggestion. If you materials are too much then that can't be done. BUT you could make a value edition to the wardrobe, right? You could have a higher price point because of the quality of the clothing THEN you can use cheaper materials and produce a extra special value edition.
We're trying to help you coach, several of the guys that were at the meeting are very successful. They no longer post here but still drop in from time to time. You should be thanking them.

You hit it right on the money Joe, Great Job!  Coach's main competition is the Delray Misfits. Its going to be tough going against a well established clothing brand as Delray. With time and a great plan he might be able to do it.  Coach is a warrior.

Im not sure. If a guy really care about his brand, he wouldn't have the luxury to drive 80 Miles just to train and hang with the Big Boys, before making his Brand or YouTube channel a hit, but... who knows..

Dude I think you should stick with the delray misfits clothing lineup. You want to wear something you can identify with.

$22-$25 = expensive

Around $20 = good price

I'm a big fan of No Limits, Perfecto and NPC Wear. Love the quality and don't have a problem paying for it but many do. I have no doubt that Coach has very good quality shirts BUT kids nowadays want cheap clothes. The average debt at 27 years old is around $40 thousand. Coach needs to cut the fat and the prices.
