Let‘s put it this way, I tried to sign up again for getbig seven years ago. Last week Ron approved my request.

 

And here I was taking it personally that he never replied to just change my name almost two months ago, and then when I gave up on that and just created a new account it took over two weeks to get approved.  I sent him a p.m. saying I was sitting in limbo, and promised to never post under my old account again as I'm against the whole gimmick thing.  Even put "please expedite" in the subject line.  Now that I'm reading this stuff from you and others, I'm realizing my 2 week wait was expedited!   

I guess now I have to say.... THANKS RON!

I figured there was a bit of exaggeration there, but it is kinda silly how long it takes for something so normal.  I think that's a part (a very small one, but still..) of why the board is/was "dying". 

If Ron is not going to be on much, then maybe share new account granting/account request privileges to 2-3 long trusted mods who both have to agree the account/request is legit and click off on it before completed?  They can see ip's I believe (IIRC, I could when I modded on another site), and having it double checked would keep favorites from being played which is clearly happening in the case of catering to a certain someone's MPD.   

The only way this place gets great again is if everyone starts posting again....many are still here.  I appreciate that Ron has kept the site up, as it's the only site where you have the freedom to be this unfiltered.

Just came back from the 2019 NPC California Night of Champions from yesterday.  Good contest in San Diego, at the San Diego Concourse event center.
