Yes, guns are designed to maim or kill and there is nothing wrong with that. What matters is who the owner is and why does he use or not use it. Banning guns will do absolutely nothing to prevent gun death and will potentially only increase the number of innocent lives lost through inability to defend oneself/others against an attacker.
I am still waiting until someone addresses the issue how can a shooter come to school with guns with no problem whatsoever, no checkups, no security, no armed people to stop him in his tracks. Trump suggested improvements in that area and there was a landslide of fake outrage because of it.
You can`t think if you ban guns, people will transform into magical unicorns and be good by default.
Society which gives up the right to be armed is prone to fail in end, any socialist dictatorship proved that time and time again.
