There is an entire class of poorly educated and sometimes not too smart Americans that need factory jobs to live middle class.

This is how China has risen economically so rapidly and previous administrations let them get away with theft. There will be some pain but if we don't put a stop to what China is doing, it will lead to eventual technological stagnation and potential collapse in certain corporate sectors. The trade deficit with China with was $419 billion in 2018. Who has the most to lose? Be patient. Support the effort. In the long run, it's the right thing to do.

I've had a complete change of heart on this issue. I looked into the pros and cons of this tariff. It's BEYOND overdue.

This caught my attention so I started there. Turns out 225 billion is a lowball number--it could (prob is, according to what I'm reading) closer to 600 billion.
They fucking steal EVERYTHING...with little to no effort too.
