Lots of basic details of the legal argument in the link.
Trump's Lawyers are saying that Congress getting in the way of Trump running the country.

The judge was astonished and felt this was an absurd argument that seemed oblivious of the "separation on powers".

Doesn't work for a good explanation in this case.
C'mon now, Trump's legal team tried to assert that Congress
didn't have any valid oversight in this process.

The judge admonished them for ignoring the basic founding principle of "separation of powers".

do they ??

They are supposed to have a legitimate legislative purpose to demand seeing his taxes.

They have none other than that they hate Trump.

Well the reason they are now giving is to see if presidents are being properly audited by the IRS.

  • It’s All Bullshit
How come none of the professors at Columbia remember Obama?

Why is his client list when he was an attorney still sealed?

Why are his college transcripts and grades still sealed?

There's more I just can't think of the rest off the top of my head.

But, and I could be wrong. He doesn't have to release his taxes....it's a moot point anyway. No one else in this history of this country has done more good for this country than Trump.

I'm not saying it isn't possible that this will be true, but your statement is really very premature.

"According to GovTrack, Trump has signed 176 bills since his inauguration. That’s about on par with Barack Obama at this point in his presidency (174), and slightly behind George W. Bush (187). But both Bill Clinton and George H.W. Bush far surpassed those numbers in the pieces of legislation signed in their first 100 days, 262 and 309 bills, respectively." https://www.nbcnews.com/card/how-many-bills-has-trump-signed-law-his-first-500-n879886

The number of bills signed into law is completely irrelevant.  It's the substance of those laws, or any other actions, that matter.

Whaaaat??? They sure do---how can you deny this:
The Revenue Act of 1924
Against this background, Congress passed the Revenue Act of 1924. The Act provides Congress with the power to compel the secretary of the treasury to furnish tax returns upon request.
That's it. End of story. There is DUE REASON for them to investigate him. If this were Obama, you'd want the government to make sure he's on the up and up. Same applies to Idiot.
