Disagree slightly. Drugs played a part, sure but he trained too heavy for too long especially during contest prep while on a calorie deficit. Plus, the underhand grip style of row didn't help. But, too answer the posters original question, NO. I don't believe he would have won with a damaged lat. Dorian still won the majority of poses with the damaged bicep because he was able to mask it in most poses. The lat would have been a bridge too far.
1994 is a faux controversy. Shawn wasn't even close. Dorian won front lat spread, ab/thigh, most muscular, side chest and side tri's. Shawn may have won front and rear double bi's. Plus, Dorian owned the quarter turns. My math may be "fuzzy" but that's like 9-2 Dorian.
