Stick with in home training and market to gay guys.I started training a gay guy on the side about 8-9 years ago.He saw me training at a gym and asked me about lifting cause he saw me bench 500 and asked what I’d did for my arms, long story short he asked if I could train him at his home in Brookline mass(very wealthy area)so I said yeah for 200 an hour and he said sure so I started training him twice a week for 400 then it turned to 3 times for 600 and then his partner joined the sessions and he paid full price for both so 400 a session 2-3 times a week.Wasnt certifiedbor insured and did this for about 4 years and then he introduced me to another gay guy and I was making 1200-1600 a week cash for 4-6 hours. When they hit certain goals they would give me nice bonuses.Original guy was a marathon runnning vegetarian who weighed 130 at 5’6 when we started and he said it I could get him to 150 with abs he would give me a bonus so after 6 months he was there and he gave me 5k cash then his next goal was to bench 225 and he would give me a bonus so we hit 225 for 3 one day and he gave me another 5k cash.He was worth around 50-60 million supposedly so was nothing to him.

So just market yourself where the money is.

Remember when you told me you got your PHD. Always lying dude.

You can still train people with a PHD.

See Layne Norton for another example.

You seem way too vested in SF's life.

He's very invested in my life.  ??? ???

In reality, he doesn't know anything about my life.

He doesn't know if I have friends, a girlfriend, a job, family, etc, etc, etc. Or, maybe I do not have any of those things.  :o :o

I do.

Invest in 5K and I will tell you what you want to know.

If I invest i'm only interested in long term gain and when my invest has doubled or tripled and then I will sell that investment.

Excuse me? Come again!!!

I keep going on about Melvin's potential for arms and delts. Very long arms / long muscle bellies. Very Paul Dillett-esque.

Hm. Makes sense that the money 💰 would be in terms of training wealthy benders.

Perhaps the strategy should primarily be in targeting benders.

A couple of different thoughts here......

1st, nice subtle reference to you 500 pound bench and large arms.  Well done, my friend.

2nd, I'm surprised they didn't constantly try to fuck you as we all know gay guys and their agenda.....:)

3rd, I would love to find a side gig like that.

Finally, I think in SF1900's case, it would not work out as I don't think Rory would appreciate other gay guys being around the house.  But, it was solid advice nonetheless.  I'm inspired.

Hell, for 5k I'd let em whack me off too!

I was thinking about becoming a part-time, perhaps full-time personal trainer as an occupation.

I want to get ACE certified.

https://www.acefitness.org/fitness-certifications/personal-trainer-certification/default.aspx

What you, getbig?!?!

I think this is probably an attempt at some sort of joke but personal training can be a great gig .... On the one condition that you love people, have a great personality, and are a skilled salesman.

Do you need to have all three of these conditions or just one to be successful?

For the most part my personal training days are over as far as meeting people one on one or in groups, after 20 years. It was a good run, made good money enough to buy a home, put my kid through private school and if I chose, to retire. If you’re doing it as a side hustle and if done right you can make an extra $50k if you choose to open your own facility the potential is endless especially if you work with the right demographic.

Without trolling, I am seriously contemplating becoming a certified personal trainer.

I want a side gig, and don't want it to be my regular job, so personal training would be nice. Still looking into it. Have to get the motivation to study.

Again, it’s a great side hustle if you go at it as an independent

I don't want to do it independent, as I would not have time for advertisement and getting clients, etc.

I guess if I don't do it independently, it's not worth it.

I would say no, it’s not worth unless you’re a kid with no job but wants to enter the fitness industry. Marketing isn’t that difficult with social media. That’s how I got most of my clients after social media became a viable marketing platform

Even taking on a few clients at a local gym wouldn't be worth it in terms of money?

Hahaha that’s all I had was big arms and a big bench, that why he approached me as I was not lean or a bodybuilder so the subtle reference was to give an idea why he approached me.My dad asked me if I was jerking him off?hahaha.

He never once hit on me,was a great guy and it never got weird.

Have to take into consideration what the gym will take. Percentage? Flat rate? If you can find a gym that offers a flat rate, take it. You can have unlimited clients without paying out the ass for a place that takes a percentage.

If you sell package at $60 for 12 sessions that’s $720. You get 5 clients that’s an extra $43,200 per year.

You fucker.  I almost choked to death laughing so hard at "my dad asked me if I was jerking him off?".  Oh dear lord.  It's still killing me.
