LMFAO.  Having a bad day?
Mt. Everest is a joke.  Digging a hole with a hand shovel 29,029 ft below sea level is a real accomplishment.

The funny thing is, someone could just buy a Restaurant freezer, pump enough CO2 in there to replicate Mt. Everest, then put a treadmill in there and it would be the EXACT same difference, only it could be monitored for safety.

You could be rich if you made that.  Thank me later for the free idea.

Me personally, I'm kinda glad this guy died. I also get happy when people taking selfies in risky places die. ( basically all self induced , needless deaths)
On a slightly different note, I live in a pretty popular winter tourist destination, and there is a certain "mountain" that people like to "hike" ...
I'd say on average of once per week I can see a helicopter circling somewhere near the top, pulling someone off because they either slipped injured themselves, or the far more entertaining one , they did not bring enough water ???
This always strikes me as being odd, since I live in the desert,  one of the hottest, driest places in the country.
I marvel at the stupidity.
As far as this fella dying doing what he loved to do, the same could be said for a heroin addict.

Sorry TA , it doesn't work like that.
As you go up in altitude overall air density decreases.
This means the amount of O2 and CO2 decrease as well.
The reason the high altitude is deadly is simply due a LACK of available O2 gas to breath.

FYI, you can thank me now or later  :D

Increasing CO2 will have the same effect on the circulatory system as altitude.  Its an easy way to conduct high altitude test when on the ground.

I just checked Amazon.com and could not find a Corporate Ladder for sale.  Can you send me a link?  I need something that extends past what my neighbor has.
